a wild kennari appears…

So. It’s been a month + one day since my ceremony, and 12 days since the video aired during the Twelfth (and last!) Ethereal Court, which was all elevations, all the time. I was the last Laurel to be elevated virtually.

I had an all-day private meltdown the day before, just stress and nerves, and ended up taking a Gabapentin to calm down, because I was in such a spiral I was incapable of pulling out of it on my own. That worked a treat.

Saturday the 7th, the day of my ceremony, was beautiful. I mean, you can see it for yourself. I was able to have a live vigil with the friends who attended, my mom made a delicious cake, it was hot AF and we Just. Did. Not. Care.

It took me two weeks to get the truck unloaded. Since then I’ve made myself an interim wreath to wear, been to two events and gotten to stand as a member of the Order for three friends I cannot wait to welcome to our ranks, and had some time to really think about what I want to do with this new station.

Right now, I want to advocate for people, and take some time to learn new things. I want to grow into more of a leader and less of a chaser and speak up, unafraid.

Someday, I want to take an apprentice, and have a student, friend, and co-conspirator to guide, advocate for, and cheer on. I’m in no rush, but I think it would be fun!

In the meantime, I have a mess to clean up, things to do to help my friends who are getting elevated Real Soon Now, and new clothing styles to research.

Thanks for coming along on the journey thus far. I can’t wait to see where we end up.
