I didn’t even get to wear this dress before the moths got to it.

I made this dress at a workshop several years ago, when I wasn’t playing much. I folded it up and put it away for several years, and the moths got to it… right in the center front.

hidden patches.

Because these holes were right there in the bodice of this dress, I decided that I was going to make these patches as unobtrusive as possible by putting them on the inside of the dress.

no fraying to cover.

Moth holes generally don’t have fraying to cope with, just edges where the moths apparently got full. So I put the patches on the inside and stitched around the edges of the hole to prevent further deterioration.

hide it under the arm.

My smokkrs have four panels: front back, and both sides. The holes were in the front panel, but since it’s identical to the side pieces, I just ripped the seams and swapped the front with one of the sides. It will still be visible, but not as obvious.
